Group Policies are post-login policies (permissions, authorizations and restriction) that are applied after login in. Example: Websites that I have access to, bookmarks, protocols (ssh, http, https) if none applied to the users, it will use the default policy. DftGrpPolicy is the default

Connection Profiles are the pre-login policies (aka Tunnel Groups). Example: The groups I have access to, how I can authenticate, custom urls I have access to. if none applied to the users, it will use the default policy. DAP is first. If not DAP, it goes to custom profile and default
