What did you think of John Lennon and Yoko Ono's relationship?

Lots of people thinks Yoko Ono broke up the Beatles, but it was just that all four were growing up and growing apart, as many people do. We all change as we age, so our relationships change too.

Yoko was John's exit strategy from the Beatles. Given the level of fame and adoration that he achieved, he obviously went slightly insane. Despite all of that, we got some great music out of him.

“She didn’t know who he was.”😂 In fact, she stalked him. I don’t think she broke up The Beatles but I still can’t stand the woman.

He leaves his wife and child devastated and heart broken...but stands up for all kinds of, self proclaimed, righteous causes....hypocritical at best....poor Cynthia and Julian...

Listen to what Lennon wrote in his songs and said in his interviews about Yoko. John loved Yoko, that is for certain.

I'm sorry, but you do not bring your girlfriend to the recording studio while working on songs. Lennon was wrong for putting his band mates in that awkward position.

By the accounts of all four Beatles, they had each threatened to quit at different times; Paul was the first to do it publicly. Yoko is just the scapegoat.

No matter what people think of Yoko, it would not matter at all to John because he apparently loved her deeply and that is all that mattered to him.

Yoko had all the talent? Explains why she has been living off his non talent for 40 years. Ask Julian Lennon. He knows her and her nastiness.

It's well documented that Yoko followed Paul McCartney around to no avail and then set her sights on Lennon. The thing about her not knowing who the Beatles were is complete rubbish. It would literally be impossible to be an artist on the NYC or London scene and not know who they were.

After Lennon’s death, Ono inherited the totality of John’s money and royalties. I read about 250 millions straight of the bat and wouldn’t give Julian anything. NOTHING.
She made him battle in court for years before a settlement was agreed.
That shows what kind of person Yoko Ono is.

I'm normally all about white dudes getting with asian women - as I'm married to one myself, but this whole thing seemed like a toxic batshit insane situation. Her energy was never going to result in anything good. And I sure as fuck wouldn't want some crazy screeching girlfriend in the recording sessions of the most famous band in the world. It seemed like none of the Beetles had the balls to kick her the fuck out.

I see why John wrote a song called "Woman is the n*** of the world", everyone has something bad to say about Yoko and these people never met her personally.

Winnie Wallace... John Lennon appears to have fallen hook line and sinker once he met Yoko..She was his other half and he was hers. Their love for each other was unique. It's sad they received so much hostility from so many. Yoko bless her has kept soldering on, like she was giving them the finger..

Here John has the beautiful wife and he leaves her for a Manly looking beast like Yoko who has the face that would make a freight train take a dirt road..

Truth was she was toxic for him. His energy seemed to change and she never seemed to want him to be doing his stuff. Happens in dv or toxic ltrs I was in enough of them to know

She went after Paul first but he wasn't interested. That's when she took off after John.

Everyone historically says he became different once he met her, started focusing too much only on her than the whole group including himself. But even so, his lyrical concepts became deeper and more relevant after he knew her, so I don't think it was such a bad thing. The only weird thing is that she claimed that she didn't know him or even who he was while also trying to have a relationship. That part is weird, claiming in public not to know him at all while in private trying to have a relationship with him is pretty deceptive. But besides that, I don't think she's responsible for breaking up the Beatles I think that's the way it was going anyway.
