Where exactly did u put the berrymans cleaner? I think my ranger has a valve issue. Keeps having a misfire, bout to buy a compression tester. U said u sprayed/poured 5 shots directly into the oil cap/motor in ur video? Not through the vacuum line?

Did you drain the oil right after? If not how long have you been driving with it inside? I left it in, drove 20 miles. It would not stay running this morning. Related or not, I don’t know yet.

What did you put in the crank case? I had/have the same issue. PCV was so clogged it would only occasionally start. Has it cleaned out and runs now but still a little rough.

Got a misfiring 94 2.3L. Two of my plug wires on my coil pack are not arcing. Changed the coil pack, same problem, same plug wires. Do you think replacing the pcv valve would fix my misfire or could my problem be electrical?

did you just casually say your car started on fire?

Hey I have a 94 range and it is misfiring when I give it gas and does it once in a wile with just idling I change the fuel filter and checked my plugs and hand the air conditioner thang but was not sore if the valve you are talking about is in the same place

Hey that little green tube coming off the EGR valve where is it supposed to go? Couldn’t see to clearly, on mine it’s just one inch straight down to nothing

You all might want to try 1/2 gal of lacquer thinner to half tank of gas, burn through it all at once on the freeway. Didn't try in the ranger yet but worked great on 04 buick century. Threw a code but after I had it cleared it didn't come back!

Those PCV valves in the 2.3L Rangers are really a PITA to find and change.

Hey I just watched your 93 ranger tachometer video and install one, the problem I encounter is that it reads very low. When idling it reads about 100rpms and when revved 3/4 it reads around 1200. Have you encountered this or know how to fix it? P.s. I have a 93 2.3L

Exactly what product did you use to clear it up, and did you just shoot it right into the oil fill hole?

What do you mean 5 shots? Do you mean five bottles?

I have a’91 with the 2.3. It has no power at cruising speed, always downshifting. Head has been reworked and new plugs, wire and coils. Any ideas? Possible Ignition control module, or maybe stopped up cat.? Thanks!

I removed all vacuum lines going in to my manifold and ran them back in the valve cover, that removed all oil from the manifold, then the line coming out of the top of the valve cover in to a catch can now I don't get carbon buildup

I will be checking this on my 97 it’s bogging pretty bad always having to downshift
