The best ever white cake recipe! Perfect for making coloured cakes and getting vibrant colours 🌈

Recipe: (4 x 6inch layers)
1/2 C. Unsalted room temperature butter (113g)
1/2 C. Vegetable oil (120ml)
1 1/2 C. Granulated sugar (330g)
2 2/3 C. Cake flour (425g)
1 1/2 Tbsp Baking powder (22g)
Pinch of salt
1 C. Buttermilk (250ml)
2 tsp extract (use clear extract like almond)
6 Egg whites

⚠️TIPS:
1. Baking strips (or damp towels) help the cake bake more evenly, no burnt edges, and get you that flat top you want.
3. Do not over-mix at all stages (flour, buttermilk, and when you fold the egg whites into the mix)

Something you can make in your own Kitchen...
"Cake GOOP" the go-to cake release. Consisting of equal parts Shortening (or Margarine), Vegetable oil (or the oil of your choice), and Flour. Mix on low speed until smooth. For a Gluten-free version, replace the flour with gluten-free flour like Bobs red mill 1:1 baking flour.

I just measured out 2 2/3 cup of flour but my scale only says 285 g. Is 425g correct? Im using caje flour that i fluffed up and spooned into measuring cups.

3 3/4 cup =480 g on your best vanilla cake recipe. But on this one you say 2 2/3 =425 Which is correct? Are your grams off on this white cake or is my digital scale wrong? I have the number 285 aftet i measured the flour
