here in north Portugal we have bluegill and shad but for some strange reason they don´t eat too much bluegill, the old fishermens use live bluegill to fish for Walleye and is very rare they get a bass, good video, like

you should come to northern Utah we have some big largemouth bass if you know what ponds and lakes to go at and maybe i could assist you to those spots...but we have the same problem as you its getting cold so you would need to wait till spring or summer
