I love the statement that "It's amazing what you can accomplish when you don't care who gets the glory." Way to go bud, making a new friend and sharing in the love...

Went fishing on the ocean a couple times, and really couldn’t do very well. Finally a local showed me exactly what to do like in this video and now we can enjoy our ocean trips. Keep the teaching going!

I used this rig in Florida but with an egg sinker years ago and caught several fish, it worked great but his idea of using an inline sinker I think is a better idea and one I look forward to using next time.
I want to commend you for letting that young man fish and teaching him your method. So many young men have grown up without fathers and as a result they are you for your kindness.

Great job. When I lived on Charlotte Harbor in the 80’s we used this method almost exclusively and caught so many different species that it became a contest to se who could catch the most on a single trip. Our best was like 20 plus in a morning outing. Use can use live or cut bait, a jig or spoon and pop it along, or double jig and wade the back bays. Simple to use and cheap enough to keep us from going broke

Hey skipper, been watching your videos for 2 years now. I get the chance to go surf fishing for the first time in a few weeks and couldn’t be more excited thanks to the videos!

Something I've learned fishing over the years. If there is a size limit you don't want your fish to be right on the line. I've seen fish shrink 1/8 to 3/16 when they get stressed. Especially if you are keeping them in a livewell.

Wowwww that is truly remarkable! Seriously! Because the bobber stopper keeps the bobber in place whereby not allowing the sinker to touch bottom and the bait will be floating freely how smart is that I must admit I’ve learned something very fish important 😀 today 👍👍👍

Been using this rig for 50 years. First freshwater pike fishing and then sea fishing on broken ground. Can work well in the right place

This video is really making me nostalgic for spin fishing, which is a bit of a surprise since I’ve been focused on fly fishing lately. I did some spin fishing as a kid, but at 37, I’ve been trying to get back into it—self-teaching as I go. My first attempt was frustrating, and somehow that led me down the path to fly fishing (which, honestly, I’m still struggling with). Watching this brings back memories of catching a big bream earlier this year on a spin rod with a float setup, and it's still one of my favorite fishing moments.

Great to see y’all helping out that young man. As someone who recently got the fishing bug, I really enjoyed the lesson as well.

Hey! I've fishing the same way here in Italy for 15 years now: sliding float from a pier with rocks. Let me give you an advice: you definitely need a longer an dedicated rod for bobber fishing, at least 5 meters long. You also need a landing net the same length. The rig you use is very good, but some small adjusts would make it even better. If like to, i'll make a video in which I show my rig and my way of fishing. Keep in touch.
Your YT chamnel is awesome!

I like it! We have always used those very small women’s hair rubber bands; cut it and tie onto your braid at desired depth with a double overhand knot, it slides also.
