Out of all the "fix it" videos on this subject, yours is the only one with sound advice. My power button broke after dropping my tablet several times. I tried the reset method then putting in the USB charger right after and it worked. thank you!!

What can I say.... except THANK YOU.
I happen to broke my phone and I had a old phone lying around and I followed your steps and miraculously the old phone with broken power button came back to life, and cherry on top is the old phone power button is now working 🤗

It worked but the problem I have now is I'm in reboot phone but I can't reboot it bcuz I have to have the power button to hit enter to do what it is im asking it to do. What should I do now??

Thanks mate, it worked doing exactly what you said (hold volume down button, plug power. Easy). Now l'll look for a "power on" app (in case l want to restart) and the phone should be good to go for a while longer (unfortunately, l had to physically remove the non-working 'power' switch from the Galaxy s4's MOBO)... You saved me!

I found a better solution guys.once you plug in the charger, then pressing volume down and home button together, a blue screen should pop up. then you'll see an option to restart the phone by clicking the volume down button again.worked for me.
