been doing this exercise on and off for over a year because it never felt right, after i watched this i realized i was standing straight up and bringing my arms out in a T shape instead of a 45° angle. thank you so much for this informative video, watched it while in the gym and i immediately got it down, now im just dealing with sore rear delts for the first time in my life lmao

Dont let your arms go too far back letting the traps takeover is also something to keep in mind with this exercise

how to view what your elbows should be dooing. straight the whole way through? bent at the start but straight at the end? slighly bent the whole what through? I feel like the movement is more difficult if I keep my elbows unbent at the start postion but I am not sure if that is tension on my rear delta or not

Use lifting straps. For your grip support I used it on a couple exercises to take my grip out the exercise helps tremendously

Maybe let you arms cross over each other to allow for more stretch on rear delt. Alternate which arm is on top every set
