Great advice, a good mulch is my go-to! I enjoy dahlias most when someone else grows them😂but local public gardens where I am, have wonderful shows of colorful dahlias, they are such a dramatic bloom 💚

Unfortunately, when I add mulch that increases the interest of the earwigs. Also I find it so hard to rid of them when I cut the dahlias to bring inside. 🌸🇨🇦

I tried for years with dahlias but the space they took up for one or two flowers every year just wasn't worth the high maintanance so I put them in the bin😂
