Good video Sean. So far, as I learn and understand the basics of investing, I’ve found Herman Jonas to be of great help to me in my investment journey.

1st thing to do is building multiple sources of income and large amount of it before even thinking about investing, otherwise you might be paranoid if it goes up/ down and could affect your mental. Especially during these gambling parlor of a stock market. Real estate is ok I think tho

Sean, I only followed a few real estate investor and you're one of the few.

I can see the potential of getting rich in real estate and few facts shows that it can also fail and when it does its gonna be a hard one.

I've seen almost the basics and inspiration a real investor wants me to see.

Now, I want to know what are the things I need to prepare when venturing out in real estate. Specially during this economy that there are houses that are vacant due to inflation/recession or various reason.

If you own 5 rental properties and 3 is already been 3-4 months vacant with a monthly amortization of $1, 000. What will you do and what have you prepared for times like this ?

I’m 17 and planning to invest as soon as I turn 18 and this was very helpful. I am planning on going with a safe and stable option at first and investing more and more money over time. Do you have any advice for me?

Sean, what books would you recommend to read? and can you make a video of your routine?

If the P/E ratio of the stock is maintained at 6 or at 20 respectively over 10 years, you will have the same compounding multiples amount in year 3, 5 or 10 for respective cases.

*Amazing content. You are still the best! It's been a year since I found ways to improve my finances and by working with a recognized professional, I was able to achieve financial independence. I have to say this; “As long as you have determination and work hard, you can achieve anything you set your mind to.”*

Thank you for your video. I struggle with understanding whether my index fund investment is making compound interest. Can you please explain if there is anything I need to do ensure it is compounding (such as some setting to ensure any gains are reinvested into more shares of the mutual fund)? Looking at my Vanguard 500 Index fund, it looks like it has grown over the last 10 years, in line with the growth in the overall stock market. However, do I understand correctly that if the stock market crashed and the price of the Vanguard 500 Index fund went back to the price 10 years ago, then my total money in the fund would be exactly the same as 10 years ago? My account only shows that I am getting capital gains each year as the stock market grows, but it shows $0 for dividend/interest each year, and it doesn't show anything being reinvested each year. Thus, I worry that my mutual fund is not compounding and would like to request your guidance on how to ensure it compounds going forward.

I'm confused. You have an example of a penny doubling everyday but give no example of how your stocks double. How does compound interest work with stocks? I have 1 share of VOO that I've had for years and it never increased. I get dividends but my stock amount doesn't increase

Compound interest is positive and negative. He who understands compound interest, earns positive compound interest ... he who doesn't ... pays negative compound interest. -SMD
