We started book 1 of Fix-it Grammar last year and are on book 2 this year for eighth grade. We will continue to use it throughout high school. I didn’t worry about starting at a higher level. We just started at the beginning. We like how the new books include a space for the rewrite.

We finished our first fix it grammar book and started with town mouse also and it was great! The boys actually enjoy doing it and I would HIGHLY suggest it. I already bought robin hood. I think that starting out with town mouse would be good. I might be easy for your 11th grader, but I'll be honest, he could always do a little extra ;)

We love fix it! I started my boys out on it in 4th grade. My current 7th grader is on level 4. When they rolled out the new editions a couple years ago I dropped down a level with both kids who were using it at the time. But I absolutely love it. It’s so easy, and if I am busy it’s something they can completely do independently. But I do like to do at least the day 1 readings with them at the beginning of the week so I know what they are learning if they have questions through the week. But I highly recommend fix it grammar.

We began FixIt this school year with my 8th and 6th grader. We started with Robin Hood and both of my boys are enjoying it! For Science we chose Berean Builders and I am super excited to begin that next year. Could be a great option with HOD. Enjoy planning :) Always a favorite part!

We are using Fix It Grammar for my current 7th grade boy, and my 4th grade girl. My son tends to struggle with academics. and my daughter is usually pretty quick about catching on. They are doing SSA 1 together, and it is working great!

My current 5th grader is using Fix-It Town Mouse and Country Mouse. He hadn't used Fix-It before. He likes it well enough and it doesn't take long to complete. I use it as his penmanship practice too. We're moving on to Fix-It Robin Hood next year for 6th. It has a very non-traditional vibe and teaches grammar a bit differently than other programs. Because of that, we just use it as a supplement alongside CLE, which a more traditional program. 😊

I use Rod and Staff Grammar. I find it is a very thorough curriculum. I have used levels 2 through 6, currently using level 4 for the second time.

We/I LOVE Rod and Staff. We have been using it since level 2 and are currently in 6 :)

My 8th and 9th grader are using Level 5 Fix it Frog Prince. It’s been fine in that they complete the assignment and I grade, they correct, then we go over mistakes. The most difficult thing to mark, which becomes redundant, are the main clauses and the invisible phrases. I think doing the first day of the week together after the lesson would be helpful with it. My kids are just independent and don’t like to do school together. I like the curriculum but they don’t care for it. I am thinking we will likely continue with Level 6 next year, at least for one of them, the other wants to go back to Christian Light 😊

Hi! My son is in 5th grade right now. We are going to do Fix It! next year as well for the first time. I'm choosing between level 3 and 4. I will make my decision after my son tries their sample lessons. Good luck!

Could you make a video showing how to make a transcript? Like a pretend one? I am freaking out and scared to homeschool the high school years because of fear of making one in the future. Thank you ❤

Have u looked into Shormann science? We are currently using Shormann math for my 8th grader and will continue to use through high school…and will start Shormann science in 9th.
Thank you for ur videos! We are using TGATB now for language arts, history, geography, but I’ve been thinking about HOD for high school but have heard it’s very time-intensive and that the reading is very dry. Have u found that to be true?

May I ask for the website you found the Pilgrim’s Progress curriculum?
