I was told years ago when I had my daughter that I “ couldn’t “ homeschool even tho it was on my heart
Fast forward years later and another child later I am unimpressed with the level of curriculum the public schools offer, so we are pulling my 5 year old out and doing the long term education from home 💕

For the past two weeks I have been researching different curriculums, and feeling extremely overwhelmed!
We are choosing to homeschool after this whole ordeal, but it is something that I’ve always wanted to do!
I have a 12-year-old/7th grader and an almost 2-year-old, who I will homeschool when she is of age.
Eventually my 12-year-old would like to go back to school as he misses his friends. But I will be homeschooling our little one for the “long-haul“!
I would say my biggest concern, is keeping up with the public school so that if my child goes back he’s not going to be lost.
I appreciate your time and advice! God bless❤️🙏

Long term-er here! Loving this! Young kids but I'm loving them not being indoctrinated and loving raising sweet kids instead of jerks!

I've already binge watched so many of your videos. We're homeschooling for good. 4 boys. K-7th. I definitely love that you've covered so many of my questions. Thank you!

Thank you! Great video. I have three of my four kids old enough for structured homeschooling this year, and I’m struggling to balance my curriculum choices with their learning styles AND our budget constraints.

I'm new to your page, and your aesthetic is so calming. I feel in to homeschooling due to CoVid; however, my plan is to keep them home. There are definitely challenges. I'm a single mom, and I work more than full time. I have a 2nd grader and a 9th grader. I've been researching for weeks.

What I think I have figured out: I am very much an eclectic, secular homeschooler. We will be very unorthodox and nontraditional. I work during the day, so we'll be doing the bulk of our schooling in the nights and on weekends.

My 14 year old son is an auditory/visual learner (except for math ... we haven't figured math out yet).
My 7 year old daughter is a combination of kinesthetic/visual.

My concerns: Ironically, I'm not overly concerned about my daughter acclimating and exceling. She's only 7, and highly receptive to jumping in and doing new things. However, my son is starting 9th grade, and everything matters (meaning towards graduation). He has math anxiety and feels he's not capable. The stress of finding the right fit for them both is intimidating. Also, I'm struggling finding things that are engaging and fun for my son at the high school level. There are tons of things out there for my daughter, but I haven't found enough for my son.

For my daughter, I want her to find her potential. Her mind is a glorious thing to behold and I want to shape her to be her very best self. My son is a quirky, brilliant, sarcastic kiddo. School has become a chore for him, and I really want to help him find the joy of learning w/o the overwhelming stress.

I know that's a big ol'pile of word vomit! I'm sorry about that. Just like life, we're complex. Thank you so much just for being you. Your spirt is a beautiful thing!

I’m in year 4 of homeschooling. And each year we have done a different curriculum. I just recently found unit studies and I think we will love those added with a math curriculum. Just haven’t decided if I want to buy someone’s already put together unit studies or make my own

Choosing the currículum was hard because I forgot that I always have a choice to stop if it’s not working and choose something else!! 😂 btw i love the hammock in the background do mind sharing where you bought it. Would love one for my home. Thank you again.

I’m a work at home mom new to homeschooling this year. We use time4learning and we are a month in & struggling! My kids are not staying focused and I’m constantly yelling to get them to work . I’m so frustrated and worrying about failing them. We may have to go back to remote learning

My son has an IEP and sitting on a computer virtual learning is just not an option! Not 100% if were short-term or long term homeschoolers yet!

We're struggling sooo much right now. Every curriculum we try my boys push back at. I even tried doing the easy master books LA & math but they don't want to do any work. 😞

I've been on the fence about homeschooling for a few years now. So I feel like the pandemic may be giving me the extra push to take the plunge. Distance learning was not ideal for our family.
I'm looking for a faith based learning curriculum. That being said I would prefer something that is a spiritual approach vs. strictly Christian.
I have an 8 yr old son, and 6 and 4 year old girls.
Possibly want to do a hybrid of online/ text or workbook.

Hi I’m Debora, and I’m homeschooling my daughter Alleluia and she’s in 2nd grade. I homeschooled her during the summer and we both seemed to enjoy it plus the one on one. I need to do an assessment test to see where her weakness are… so far it’s math.

Hello! I am new to your channel and to the homeschool communities. I am planning to homeschool our children - long term but have no ideas of how to go about things. I would like to use ABEKA for their curriculum, parent led but I am not sure of what to buy, to be honest with you. Is there a way that you can help? We will be moving to Saint Matthews, KY area this summer.

I watched another video of yours and you talked about scripture memory but I clicked on the video and it said it was private . Could you please tell me how you memorized scripture?

Love your videos. We are considering making the move to home school. My main concern is when do I get stuff done like grocery shopping, cleaning or just me time. How do you do it?

How do you keep a record of what they have learned in case you are asked by the authority if you keep switching curriculum?

Great video...my tips: don’t buy a bundle pack(if it doesn’t work you’re not out the whole bundle), more than one child COMBINE subjects, don’t try to do it all everyday(looping may save you), high school isn’t scary...look at Learn math fast, Biology 101 series. Lapbooks and unit studies are a great idea. Don’t give up, always have a backup book on your list ...just in case what you picked doesn’t work(try free online first). YouTube reviews..use subject, grade, etc

I can't find any of the suggestions in your description you said you would leave. I am looking on a budget for 1st and 2nd grade curriculum. I would say we have an eclectic style of homeschool. Any suggestions would help. I've used curriculum from Christian light and it's just very plain.
