Once a toddler grabbed my leg and asked "Dad, where is mom". Her father hiding, gestured to me to remain silent. When i didn't reply for a bit of time she looked up. The startled look on her face! Haven't forgotten it in 2 decades.

I remember when I was little being at a party and getting upset for some reason, so I went looking for my mom and when I found her I hugged her and she hugged me back and comforted me and stuff. It was all well and good till I looked up to see that my mom was on the other side of the room and I was hugging a stranger. She was very comforting though, definitely a mom herself.

I ran outside once to hug my dad and it was a random Asian man, he was very kind though and he hugged me back. I hope it made his day.

Straight up grabbed the wrong adult man’s hand at Disneyland. Poor guy was about to cry all “I’m not ready for kids please no” 😂 my parents really watched and let me grab a strangers hand to see my reaction

When I was little, I was in a store and I started digging around in my dad's pocket looking for something when I realized it wasn't my dad's pocket. The random man looked down at me and said hey. I froze and ran away as fast as possible. He must have thought I was trying to steal something. That moment has stayed with me my entire life, and it's crazy watching someone else make a similar memory that they will most likely remember forever

i was 6 when me and my family went shopping at the mall, and i grabbed an old man hand (which i thought it was my dad’s) and i said i love him. After i look up and see that it wasnt my dad he smiled and looked so happy🥺 I dont know if he’s still alive but i just imagine if he’s missing his grandchildren or his kids and me holding his hand had reminded him of them. I’ll never forget that.

When I was about her age I was in the front yard with my parents and a random man walked by with a similar build & Clothing combo to what my dad had on that day, and I followed behind him halfway down the block and almost turned the corner with him. I was chattering to him and calling him Dad, not understanding why he wasn’t saying anything back. Then my Actual Dad noticed, screamed my name, chased me down, scooped me up and took me back home and I remember crying so hard in his arms when I realized the man I left with was not my Dad.

Damn near kidnapped myself 😬
