11’s unique speech pattern is adorable this season. It always was she just barely ever spoke

This is all a HUGE adjustment for Jane/El. She has grown up isolated and kept a secret. She was treated like a lab rat most of her life. She was homeschooled, so this is her first time going to mainstream school. She lost her powers, which are a part of herself. She moved away from Hawkins and her other friends. She also lost her dad.
All of this thrown together is very hard. Now She faces bullying....

Honestly the more I analyse this scene the more severely underapreciated this is. The details on this scene that Millie showcased are marvelous. The way some of her voices were shaky, and the way Eleven glance at the Angela gang whenever they were confused and laughing or giggling like in 0:34 and when she says "diorama" her expression very nicely conveyed a very doubtful girl but still had to smile for the presentation, plus her teary eyes. I can see her eyes says "I'm doubtful" but she still has to faked it out for the presentation thus she smiled awkwardly. And then gradually her doubt increased everytime the bullies laugh, and finally she couldn't held it back anymore, she stood up defended her dad. And when she defended her dad and how he meant to her there were no a shred of a doubt and hesitation on her, she said it to them with upmost confidence. And she took a deep breath to contained her contemptness on them, and finish her presentation. Perfect, 10/10 scene.

You can tell what Angela is really doing and it isn't okay. Getting up in front of people and to be vulnerable takes courage. Maybe the teacher did mean someone more well known. Still, Angela did not have to be snide about it. Jane lost her father. Losing anyone you love is really hard. I wish Angela could have had empthay. Well, she isn't an angel that's for sure.
