I have Quest 3 and PSVR 2. My Q3 is in a weird spot because the PSVR 2 has completely spoiled me in terms of gaming with how good the graphics are, the haptics, the OLED black levels and contrast, etc it’s incredibly immersive that gaming on the Q3 isn’t the same. On the flip side I tried the Apple Vision Pro out for the 2 week return period and it’s the best tech I’ve ever used and the AR is incredible, the display resolution, the hand and eye tracking, the shadows and flow from windows, and above all else the Apple Ecosystem built right in with iCloud and everything is a GAME CHANGER. The Quest 3 definitely has it’s place, but feels like child’s play for games and AR after using PSVR 2 and Apple Vision Pro

You skirted the fact that PSVR2 had full PC drivers released. You say it needs a Playstation, then after say there is an adapter.

With the recent sale and the adapter, the PSVR2 makes much more sense to buy now.

It seems like BigScreen Beyond should have gotten a mention as a successor to the Valve Index. Being the lightest headset with the best microphone and microled displays should count for something even if it does have a wire.

For a young man who wears glasses, how well do these products work? Do they fit over your glasses as some look as though they dont?

So what if I don’t have a computer (I have an iPad)? I have the meta glasses….love them. I am an older lady, so won’t do much gaming…..any suggestions?

I got my son a 3s for Christmas this year and I’m wondering if I should take it back and get the 3

Okay, I guess this video "needed to" be pushed out quickly before the holidays, but it's a little strange to say that you "need" a PS5 to use the PSVR 2 and then only at the end course-correcting and saying that it works on PC now. And yes, for most modern GPUs it's true that you need an adapter, but if you own a GPU with an integrated USB-C port, you don't! =)

I need to see VR headsets getting wireless 🛜tech from LG .. that would really be awesome.

Unless you need a new macbook 3.5 THOUSAND POUNDS is utter extortion.

No Pimax Crystal mention at all? Hmm maybe do more research!

You failed to mention Pimax Crystal Light which blows all VR headsets out of water. Meta Quest 3 is the only option for the average VR / AR user. But if you have more money then Varjo XR-4 and Somnium VR1 which you also failed to mention.

Cnet just lost my subscription, when you make such a BS list, ignoring all the alternatives.
Did Meta pay for this commercial, or was this old goat too lazy to try other than Meta?

I will agree, that Quest3, probably is the best all rounded at that price range.
But there are several VR headsets, som are a LOT better on certain areas!
And calling the "Best" should be devided into segments, because you often see new VR headsets shine in 1-3 areas,
but then they dissapoint in 1-2 other areas. At least "best VR" should be divided into price groups.
Best around 250, 500, 1000, 1500, +1500..

- Pimax Crystal Light - Not better allround, but has a lot better visuals.
- Bigscreen - Has the best comfort - but got a glare problem
- VR1 - will probably win the best visual and FOV - but a lot more expensive
- Varjo XR4 is also leagues better than Quest - just also in another pricerange.

PSVR2 is my favorite but if someone doesn't have a PS5 they should go with a Quest 3 or 3S. You're not gonna get the AAA games PSVR2 has, but you'll still have an amazing selection of games, that while not graphically on par with PSVR2, will have the advantage of no cable, so you can John Wick to your heart's content, without tripping over the cable. If you have a PS5 go with PSVR2, the graphical difference and AAA games are worth it.
