a detail that's often missed with the fresnel lenses is that those fresnel lenses and that single LCD panel on the Q3s means you will have a smaller FOV. its about the same as the Q2. the regular Q3 has a larger FOV, which is awesome, not just because of the lenses, but also because of the dual displays.

Recommended games for people new to vr

Red matter, bone lab, duck season, bone works, job simulator, Richie’s plank experience, I expected you to d1e, and half life alyx are all good coming from a pcvr and standalone user with over 1500+ hours of vr experience on quest 1 and 2

Half life alyx, boneworks, bonelab, etc are games that could potentially cause motion sickness to new players so I would recommend seeing how motion sickness you get before buying them

UK here... is it worth waiting for say black friday or prime day or xmas etc. is there a chance better or cheaper offer for this ? Or perhaps now the 3 will come down more? Im also concerned about how loud it is if it wont allow headphones - can you use wireless headphones or just not at all? I really dont want to bother people or have them hear what I may be listening to...

I have a quest 2 and use it to play onward. Id like a better resolution and more clarity to have more of a chance on long distance encounters….. so for that the Quest 3 would be the best choice or?

I just got the 3s on Friday and have used it non stop it is a very great product. I think the visuals are very good but I have not looked into a quest 3 it might be better Idk. I do feel like people make it sound like the 3s visuals are just absolute garbage and that is not the case at all I am very happy with mine! Hope this helps someone!

This is huge!! Its confirmed that Quest 3S has better sensors than Quest 3 for hand tracking in complete darkness while the original quest 3 can´t do it and you receive constant "loww light" warnings.

Meaning that in low light or even complete darkness conditions Quest 3S has a huge advantage over the original Quest 3.

It seems that you can use an adapter to plug in headphones to the USB-C. Might be complications if you want to have an extra battery hooked up at the same time though.
