Im a simple techie, all I want is 1440p @400$. No frills, no speakers, no bloat application, just straight video.

Ah, this was the video I was looking for, a side by side comparison of the major AR glasses. Plus your comment at the end about limited productivity was VERY useful in that I was hoping to use the glasses that way. Thank you.

I’ve been getting more interested in these in recent years as tech continues to progress, quality increases and cost starts making sense. This has always been a tech category I looked forward to flourishing!

I agree. I have tried all 3. Viture - liked the color reproduction and the electrochromatic dimming and the accessories (dock and neckband), didn't like the weak speakers and smaller display and no light blockers. Rokid - liked the bigger display and the speakers, didn't like the very dark contrast of the display. Xreal - liked the color reproduction, screen size, electrochromatic dimming, and speakers, didn't like the accessories or no built in diopters. The Xreal had the most pros and least cons for me. I might just pick up the Rokid Station 2 since the Xbeam is so half baked.

Thank you for very detailed comparison! There are so many sponsored videos about these glasses with no useful information. But this was very informative and practical. Can you do a video with TCL Rayneo Air 2 glasses and also Lenovo legion glasses?

What a good comparison, for me as someone curious this is helpful to make an informed decision. Great format!

Probably one of the product comparisons I've seen in a long time, and the fact its the exact 3 models I've been looking at is a cherry on the cake.. I was dithering on the Air 2... but it seems a no-brainer to get the Air 2 Pro... Order placed, will be here Saturday 🕺

As an hvac tech this can help me when troubleshooting or looking up wiring schematics while working and doing what I am doing having the projected screen of diagrams can be very helpful

Thanks for the detailing video.

I love my Xreal air2 pro. It is flawless wn connected in Dex mode. I'm now able to do so much with the Beam too... got all my 3rd party apps easily installed. Did not require any jail-breaking

I'm now waiting for the Xreal glasses to go wireless

I'm interested in AR glasses for use in viewing an active spectrogram while conversing with another person. The spectrogram is a continuous real time video of audio information, specifically frequency versus time. Spoken words are picked up and processed into the video by a separate device and the video would be streamed from the device to the glasses. In the video many words and phrases appear as recognizable shapes - so viewing the video can be of immense benefit to the hearing impaired. The advantages of the spectrogram video over speech-to-text is
1) low latency (<0.1 sec);
2) more info - the spectrogram patterns show changes in volume, tone
and pitch.
The disadvantage is that if one views the spectrogram on a non-heads-up-display one's visual contact with the other person is seriously compromised. The glasses offer a way of eliminating this disadvantage. In your opinion, which of the 3 glasses you reviewed would be best suited to this use?

be warned my Rokid Max showed heavy burn-in after less than a year and regular usage. Also their service played around with me and is very bad.

They repeatedly wanted me, four times, to try filming the displays of the glasses, the wiring, and the display of my computer in various ways with different background images, only to then inform me that the warranty had expired ten days ago.

They offered to send the glasses to China at my own expense, which would be higher than the purchase price.

I am a xreal air2 user.
Many people think of this product as a replacement for a monitor. Although it can be used to watch videos and play games, I believe it cannot be used as a monitor replacement in everyday life. It has good readability, but it is very tiring on the PC when it is not a fixed monitor.
I have PC Steam Deck Z Fold 4 iPhone 15, the Nebula app is garbage and it seems to be best used in Samsung Dex mode.

You can do 3dof with just the viture glasses alone with a firmware update! Works great

Wish I saw this sooner. Just bought the Virture Pro XR last night. But this could have given me a more informed decision.

@1:28 - An in-depth review of all 3 glasses respectively, with examples from gaming and/or AR apps (if possible), would be nice. Please? 🙂
@20:44 - Thank-you for the feedback, Rawan!

I bought in to the nreal pro back before they changed their name to xreal. While they work great for gaming, especially on my steam deck, i have had some major issues with them that i haven't been able to find if they were fixed on the pro 2. For example, Burn in is a major issue if you use it on your PC as a monitor substitute, all my icons in my windows bar have been burned into my display. Also because the light is partially reflected to allow it to be see through, the image is noticable darker making dark games near impossible to play if they dont have some form of gamma correction.

Honestly the Viture's cons aren't too bad from what I've experienced. 8 months in & still great. I really want to test it when on an airplane since I just use it at home mainly.

I ordered both the xreal 2 pro and Viture to compare. I really wanted to like the Viture but I found what was said in the video is very accurate from my use. The xreal was significantly better when gaming it’s not even close and the screen size makes a huge difference. For reference i lined both up with my 75 in TV . The Viture seemed about 10 inches bigger but for xreal it appeared about 30 or 40 in bigger which makes watching and reading anything much more comfortable. The difference I noticed from the video was Viture’s colors were more accurate at least when comparing to my Lenovo legion go screen. With the better colors on Viture watching something like Dune looked better.
