Sustained powerful winds hitting at a right angle on the East side of landfall is a *"perfect hit"* for creating storm surge some rain bands here in South Carolina so this one isn't over is the rumor as forecast is to slow across the entire State of Georgia heading directly to Valdosta which is a very nice City actually and turning in the direction of Atlanta and all of Tennessee totally agree epic flood maker for East side of Big Bend then epic rain maker going forward for those not directly impacted by the remnant low😊

When Idalia hit the Big Bend area in 2023, the media showed a gas station canopy in Perry and incorrectly claimed it was on US 27. That's not true. It was on US 19-98, which is also overlapped with Alternate US 27. I drove to that gas station a few months before the storm hit.

It looked like Cat One and not Cat 4. Drive around the eye and you will see little damage. All the houses still have their roofs. Trees are upright. I saw it live from eye or Perry.

By the looks of the radar, the winds weren’t 140 looks like a cat three to me. We’ll see when it’s all said and done. I’ll check the pressures.
