I have the same problem. No doubt about Jesus, but did I ask sincerely enough. Have I surrendered And repented enough.

I'm sure this won't get seen after all this time, but my struggle is different from this. What's the best way know we have the correct salvation theology? many of the arguments for the various theological standpoints are pretty good, and the only difference is how they harmonize the various verses. When even Jesus says many will be deceived by teaching that tickles the ears. When you really think about it what tickles the ears is different to different people. Some may find it pleasing to think that they can turn to Christ Sunday and be back to living their normal life every other day of the week, and others may find it pleasing to hear that you're not saved unless you "put in the work". Both of those are obviously wrong, but there are a lot of shades in the middle that COULD maybe be right. Then I see so much division in the church and it is pretty clear that wasn't Jesus' desire. A great example is once saved always saved. I've seen a lot of early church documents (as well as New Testament passages if you harmonize one way vs another) that seem to suggest that's not what they believed. When I doubt it's always about the possibility that I might have the wrong salvation theology putting me off the narrow road by a few feet. I don't know. Maybe I do just need to trust that the very fact that I care so much about whether or not I'm there is additional proof of the Holy Spirit in me? Just give the rest more time?
