30mbps connection... $2000 networking setup?

Are you serious?

Your "networking wall" looks like a total mess, even if it's supposed to be "cable managed". Buy yourself a rack, it'll be much easier and way more tidy.

"Cable managed extremely well". As a professional installer I would call it a joke!

This was so funny to watch because here in The Netherlands we all have like 200 mbit/s download, 9ms and such and just with the all-in-one modem you get from your internet service provider.

It frustrates me when he says he provides an ISP...
NO
You are only relaying/redistributing your internet connection which you get from your ISP.
So therefore you are an Internet Redistributor or ISP Relay? Right?

Why are you jumping around like a mad man? Completely unnecessary setup when you only have a 50Mbs connection. Basically you just get sent expensive things you don't need and pretend you know what you're talking about.

50 up 50 down? that sucks I got 200 up 200 down

That's an awesome setup, but I feel like it's complete overkill for 50/50Mbps

"Power over Ethernet is so powerful"

You've got a way with words. ;)

You don’t use a HD for the house, this is just a clear lack of knowledge of application.

looked like a waste if you are getting slower speeds by half the before

I literally installed this system in my house last night and today. I’m having fiber installed tomorrow. I am using 3 different APs but I love the new system.

A. You didn't need half this shit. B. reselling your satellite fed internet connection to your village is illegal. You're not the ISP, you're a customer profiting off their product - that's fraud. Not like everyone told you that in your video when you bought the idea up :/

$2000... Lol I pay around $80 pm, only have 1 Ubiquiti AP and I'm getting around 600 up and 40 down.. Too much money man and not enough sense.

Alex how come you keep them as two networks? The "Home" and the "ISP".
I mean like the USG and a US-8 (or a US-8-60w/US-8-150w if you need PoE) could done that for you.

Just set them as two diffrent VLAN's and get them all in in the Ubiquiti interface.

Let's all take a minute to appreciate our friends in the comment section
1. Bragging about their bandwidth being higher.
2. Showing off their mad networking skillz.
3. Throwing cisco certs and degrees at each other.
4. Thinking that his personal network setup on his closet wall is his whole ISP infrastructure and that a server rack is what makes a machine a server.
5. Drawing lines when one can call himself a networker, a room a server room, and a nas box a proper nas box and a machine running a server a true server.

Thank you for restoring my faith in mankind and being very informative.

Server room? Nas? Makes sense he did pay 2k on tech for his 50/50 connection. You're a expert!!!!... at wasting your dad's money.😂

I appreciate the fact you put some time into improving you're setup and configuring a decent home network but you need to work on your cable management, can get a 9u cab installed in that corner, rack mount the switch, run cables from AP's (and even install wall ports) into a patch panel and use rack shelving for all the other equipment, all of this is incredibly easy to do with a little research and will massively improve your setup, will then be space in cab to install other stuff like NAS and servers etc.
