0:30 Wow, no kidding?

I actually live in Honolulu, too, so this rice-asbestos-talc link really hits home.

My grandma always used to tell me about how we used to have talc in the rice and it was making people sick. That's why during those days it was so important to wash the rice.

It's funny, she told me it was the talc that was dangerous, but then again she isn't a doctor like Dr. McDougall. I don't think she knew that it was really that asbestos mixed with the talc that was actually killing people.

I had no idea that Dr. McDougall was actually the one that exposed this problem! Not only saving us from heart disease, but cancer, too!

I love Dr. McDougall's knowledge and information, but he interrupts his guests far too much. It's quite painful. 😞
Thank you for introducing Dr. Katz here. He quickly became a new hero. 💝

Dr. McDougall, I prefer tothink of you as determined rather than stubborn. There is a difference between being stubborn and being determined. A stubborn person holds to a course solely for the sake of doing things his way, no matter how much PROOF is presented to prove that course to be in error. To stick to an idea when evidence proves it is erroneous is not only stubborn, but unintelligent. There is no merit in being stubborn. On the other hand, a determined person, (unlike a stubborn one) holds faithfully to a course because evidence supports his ideas. No amount of bullying, bribing, negativity or opposition will shake an admirably determined person from sticking to what is correct. Such determination requires integrity, loyalty and concern for others. We need determined people to help thwart the devious schemes of greedy commerce. I'm grateful for your determination.

Honestly, I think Dr. McDougall needs to chill out a bit. He seems to be constantly looking for a debate, but I want to hear what Dr. Katz actually had to say rather than debating finer details that are less meaningful.

No excuses with Dr McDougall . It’s time to change . Diet first, the rest will follow. Let’s the government subsidize veggies. And fruits and legumes.

I love Dr. McDougal's passion, but he is not a good interviewer, he interrupts far too much. I really appreciate Dr. Katz's way of communicating, such great knowledge.

Dr. McDougall, please let the guest speak, instead of trying to challenge them at every turn! Stop holding your guests to something they may have said or felt 20 years ago, even though they may feel the same as you do now. Its fight, fight, fight with you these days. Some people enjoy exercise, positive thinking, and optimism, which they believe is helping their overall health and well-being. Let's spread some love around! The older you get, the more self-righteous you are, and its a bit annoying. Lighten up doc!

Exercise help a lot. I started to run 15 minutes every morning (about 3 km). Previously I did lot's of walking - many hours daily. I felt well, but now it's like super well. I was inspired by your patient Ruth Heidrich. Diet what I have had (3 years) is mostly low-fat whole plant based diet. Thanks John, your writings at your website are very helpful (easy to understand for people who are not doctors)

Dr. McDougall might need to switch to decaf or take fewer meds. He hardly let Dr. Katz get a word in edgewise! I wanted to hear Dr. Katz’s point of view and not McDougall relive his war stories. Interesting that in the past McDougall didn’t advocate exercise. In his older videos he said he’d windsurf with his kids and grandchildren forever. Last year or so he admitted giving it up. Now he’s very proud that he climbs stairs every day. As he should be. He should have been purposefully exercising all along.
