Turkey's are shockingly trusting to people. There used to be one that walked around the neighborhood and would eat out of our hands. He was awesome.

I used to manage an animal sanctuary. This brought back so many fond memories of Mona the beautiful turkey and all of her turkey friends. They loved to be pet, sit right next to you/on you and just chill. We'd chat about the day, haha. It was so special to see them be so comfortable that they would close their eyes and take a nap in your lap or just stay snuggled up next to you. Wishing Pepper many, many more happy years with her family. 💞

Turkeys are very sociable like dogs 😊 got 10 of them mail delivered . They followed my dad around when he was in the garden, waiting for any leftover weeds and such . They lived many years ( up to 5 years ) until their passing .

When her dad takes a ride in his truck, Pepper prefers sitting in the front passenger seat. But she will NEVER call "shotgun." That is a sensitive word for a wild turkey!
