Not sure, but I think they are very related. Because I think electromagnetic field is ether field that always exists around us. And disturbance of these ether particles is what we call electromagnetic wave.. Just like air around us, ether exists around us, it's just very small, smallest particles. You'll need to accelerate the air particles to a speed of light to have effect of electromagnetism..

Space is a medium. Tesla is absolutely correct space is an either and that is why space bends with gravity. Space bends because it is a tangible medium so electromagnetic waves do require a medium of time and space or either. Since space is time and time is governed by the speed of light, it is absolutely affected by its medium. How has science avoided this fact, how does it continue to avoid it. They say space bends and then also say it is pure emptiness. Emptiness or the absence of everything is absolutely primordially unchanging it cannot be affected, if something can be affected it is manifest and if it is manifest it has a form. Without a form it can neither bend nor be moved through. If space was pure nothing there would be no space between objects everything would collapse space maintains a structure allowing for relative distances between things meaning space has proportion. It can bend, it is affected by gravity. It can be compressed and theoretically it can be folded in on itself. How is it not a medium. It is not a particulate medium as far as we know but we don’t even know that for certain.
