If you are replacing Proxmox with something that cant do most of what Proxmox does then something's wrong.
Also, Casa OS can literally run on top of Proxmox, since it's not actually an OS despite the name

So you're dumping proxmox because you were too lazy to learn docker and used Proxmox instead for something it wasn't really designed to do. I get it, you finally learned docker so now you don't need a bunch of VMs. But your title implies that they do similar things, which they don't.

A while back you used cockpit with ZFS. Did you ditch the ZFS setup in favor of CasaOS drive manager? Is this just one of your CasaOS setups?

So you don't have a concern for SSL and opening ports? that would be my Biggest concern, I manage both using pfsense including haproxy as my reverse proxy. But i do see what you mean, as you managed to centralize the use of apps in CasaOS instead of Proxmox, however I still think ProxMox is necessary for running other services

I can not access the shared folder in CasaOS with my PC running Windows 11 but no problem with the android phone or Ipad, any suggestion ?

I install 3x Casa OS .The big problem with Casa OS is reboot afther a power feilure because lose the grub loader. I use Ubuntu server but the reboot done the grub loader problem.I like verry much Casa OS but install on a top of other Debian-Ubuntu gonna do the same problem of reboot probaly the solution :Proxmox-Debian-Casa OS-containers will be a better solution protecting the reboot.

i dont think this guy understand the promox uses vs CasaOS, they are synergistic!
Proxmox is amazing for cloning your VMS/OS and keep stuff safe
Plus you can cluster computers

Why don't you try Unraid? It's a good files server with redundancy and you have docker with app community and even u can run vm's. You're server is overkill just to run casa os.

Actualy you are wrong linux distros break far more often on updates especialy on kernel updates and it goes into panic mode. I run a debian server and almost never update it for that reason. Keep in mind debian is considered one of the most stable! Windows 2022 that i also run updates without issues for 3 years!
