Actually Minthe was BEFORE Persephone. Once Hades married Persephone, he dumped her but she was angry and attempted to seduce him and berate Persephone saying how she was better than his wife. Depending on the story, either Persephone or Demeter became angry and turned her into a mint plant.

Well, some of Persephone's suitors were Apollo and Hermes, so I'm pretty sure she's happier with Hades.
Plus the more ancient myth said he almost was successfully seduced, but being able to hold on the temptation without cheating is already very good when his wife isn't home for 3-9 moths of the year.
Imagine if it was any other god aside from Eros?

The version of the myth I personally prefer is the one where Minthe (which is the correct spelling) was a lover of Hades from before Persephone

Well, he is still loyal then... Like after falling in love he rejected the nymph over his wife, and even if the nymph from the other version got to him, she was stopped by Persephone.

And yell can't argue about Adonis since Persephone loved him as the mother who raised and wanted him to remain in the underworld, even Hades objected for the boy of the soul to be taken away. Remember that while Adonis had been an immigrated God Adon whom was from the Caananites and explained a love story conflict between the goddess of the underworld Ereshkigal and the goddess of love and fertility Ishtar that explained the seasons, the Greeks already had the kidnap of Persephone, so they integrated those two into the version of Aphrodite and Persephone having custody over Adonis because Aphrodite left the boy as a baby while Persephone had to raise him until Aphrodite came to take him due to lust, and then the other where Persephone is made as a cheater to Hades and loved Adonis. So both stories can be taken away as such.
