When he said "my dear papa" it made me tear up. this is a family grieving, strip the royal titles and they're just like anybody else.

It doesn't matter how old you are, losing a parent is debasing. I can't imagine having to cope with such a loss publicly and having to comfort a nation. I know the boys did it so very young but it is a much different pain losing them as an adult. Especially in your own golden years as they have always been there and your own children have families of their own. I am so sorry for the Queen. The only love she's ever known, the family, friends and to an extent, the world helpless to console her. My deepest condolences to the entire royal family and the UK as a whole.

I see a lot of jokes being made on social media but it’s only “acceptable” because they’re well known. Them being royalty doesn’t mean that it’s not sad. Someone lost their father, their husband, grandfather, great grandfather, a friend. Death is so final and to lose someone who’s been by your side for so long will be hard. I hope they heal as a family.

Your highness it deeply sadned me to hear of the great loss. I knew Prince Philip from my childhood days. My father always used to show us all about the Royal family and we used to picnic on the backside of Windsor castle. He always said this is where the Queen lives with her husband. Since then I felt a deep connection to you all....watching William and Harry growing up...me being same age as them. I live abroad now and can't come to Windsor castle...but be assured of my sincerest condolences. As I feel my own grandfather passed away. 😢 From your loyal British citizen 🇬🇧

He failed to reach his centenary on June 10 which is a tragedy. I wanted him to live to 101 like the Queen Mother.
