I think you guys should do a cull episode on whether or not snagging fish using livescope, or should fish have to b hooked inside mouth when using forward facing sonar, def a hot topic id be interested to hear the debate?

I think there should be another BASS series between the elites and opens. Maybe like a 50 angler league from the top anglers in the opens and whoever drops from the elites goes there. So the 8 anglers from the elites go there and the top 8 from the middle league go to elites…and likewise for opens and middle league.

Compare to other solo competition sports. Golf, tennis. All the majors are opens, earn qualifications compared to buy in.

Keep. It's an open. It's probably good for the event as a whole.

You gotta keep it an open is it open but it sure would be nice if all the pros circuits would work together where they can fish all three circuits if they want to instead of having overlapping schedules 🎣🎣

John Cox fishes the Elite’s, Tackle Warehouse, Opens, John fishes nearly everything and don’t fool with live depth finders, he is a check cashing king, awesome fish super star

Topic idea...how many podcast listeners fish tournaments at any level from the elites to a Tuesday nighter

Professional anglers are brand ambassadors. The Opens are fair game to anyone that wants to fish them. They owe all of their sponsors as much exposure as they can get them.

Iaconelli fishes some of my BASS Club (FiveAlive) opens so I ain’t scared of no bass pro’s. Yes they should be able to fish anything they want.

Opens are open to all. Matt had good & interesting view- Pro Elite Anglers fishing for a living could only have 18 days on the water actually tournament fishing! These dudes need more time on the water (Opens) to make a living!

Pretty simple….if BASS is going to limit the amount of anglers that can fish an open with so many wanting to fish then Pros shouldn’t be allowed. My only argument either way.

100% they should be allowed to fish the opens... i think there should be another trail between the opens and the elites.. maybe 150 boats top 10 in points makes the elites.. bottom 20 fall to the opens and 20 open guys move up.. maybe a $2500 entry fee...

I’m not a pro so its their game only; it’s like saying I can compete with with the UFC elites. Open or not.

I say keep it let them fish. Just because they are pro's doesn't mean that they automatically win an open when most of the time a local from the area smokes everyone

If I ever get to fish the opens, I’d like to beat some of the Elite guys. Keep them 😎

I don't agree with they are better, just they can afford to fish the Elites. Moneywise, the Opens may be the best some can ever afford to do. But the skill level may be better. If the Elites are so much better, why aren't they all fishing the final day? How many times did it take Ike to finally win the James River Open?

I agree that they are “Open” tournaments, but I would like to see an elite Qualifying series that only has anglers that want to qualify for the elite series. Because there seems to be a good amount of open anglers that have no interest in qualifying for the elite series, still offer the win and your in for the opens. I also think you should have to fish the opens to Qualify for the “Elite Qualifier Series” maybe take the top 40 from each division in the AOY Standings from the previous year. Could also give the upcoming anglers some live coverage experience maybe cover the final day on BASS Live.

If it says open it means anybody can fish it.

Any one that can pay the entry fee should be able to fish the opens. I still believe that there should be a tournament league between the opens and the Elites where only anglers wanting to qualify for the elites can fish a similar style trail. I’m still not sold that an angler can fish just 3 tournaments and is now ready for the Elites. Keep up the good work !!!

open means OPEN to everyone. not to many pros fishing opens that are winning a lot. keep them open to all.
