That's only half the answer though, now how do you replace the updated date field with the new dates (years)? You have to keep the original field for the formula to work!

How do I now convert that formula to text?? I can't move the rows as it won't recognise it

Really bad date format for the input data, the year is not 13 (more than 2000 years ago), it is 2013. The best date format (from my point of view) is d-mmm-yyyy, with 4 y's for the year, always ! Why many people are simply too lazy to consider 4 digits for the year ?

OH MY I am so excite. thank you so much. I just figured it out for Access in an update query. using what you did and playing with the "Builder" I used: DateSerial(2016, Month([ItemDate]), Day([ItemDate]))
It WORKED!
