Hi Nate. I know this is years old, but today I've decided to learn how to play guitar and it's all thanks to your awesome videos! I'm a real beginner. Didn't know a single note prior to watching your previous vids. Though, I've always had an interest in playing when I was younger but got intimidated really quick by my music teacher and thought guitar is just not for everyone and left it at that (I wish I hadn't!). A decade later (I'm now 25, never too old to learn right? 😂) I've stumbled upon your channel and now I'm so motivated to learn! If you can't remeber the name of the strings keep thins in mind:

Every
Asshole
Does
Good
Barely
Ever

And you know thath the first letter of every word is the name of the string.

I don't remember where I learned it, but for tuning by ear I was taught to listen to the harmonic oscillation created between the two strings, and that always made it easier for me, to the point that even though I never got too far with guitar, and haven't tried playing in almost a decade, I can still pick up a guitar and tune it by ear.

HI Nate,

Great lessons, I love them a lot. I had a concern as my Guitar's string G doesn't sound like G infact like a D or B on the tuner on my phone or electric tuner. What do u think could be the problem?
