Older people like Intel and younger people like amd if we're using the data from this video

Clearly its AMD, at this point, Intel only exists to keep AMD on check.

I've been die hard Intel, though what I've been seeing about the 13 and 14th gen Intel has me planning my first amd build

This interview a couple years ago would be all Intel

I think why chose if you can have both, for modern build Amd is better but the sandy bridge era was legendary.

My Ryzen 7900x & 7900xtx are brilliant. I was intel until a few years ago and I switched, not one problem since.

Depends on the use-case honestly. I got an intel 12700k because it was a cheaper setup than the equivalent AMD one and it performed better for heavy programs. But I used an AMD Ryzen 5600X in my server because it supported headless and ECC.

I like my ryzen 7 7800x3d for gaming. It works and doesn't burn itself to pieces, so im happy.

Based from the short, the respondent's preference reflects their workspace

Intel = Officework, heavily relies on the CPU to keep up with the work load

AMD = Rendering, mainly for Gaming

In the end, a faster CPU can still meet both demands regardless of brand, gaming or officework

It really depends on what kind of tasks are you going to perform on your computer.

Intel or AMD?
It depends on generation of processor, currently AMD is better comparing 13th and 14th gen Intel CPUs and it might change in the future who knows maybe nvidia come up with their own CPU and it may outperform Intel & amd altogether.

I always choose the best bang for the buck (CPU+mobo) with some calculations of energy consumption for 3 years, since energy is expensive here. Last few years Intel did lose that comparison for gaming, especially when X3D came out. I wouldn't recommend 13 or 14th gen right now (Intel claims that production process is fixed, but you could still get some older stock, just isn't worth the risk). I'm waiting for Arrow Lake (Core Ultra 200 series) vs. 9000X3D series comparison for my next upgrade. We will see if Intel worked on the efficiency.
