I know most people disregarded the addition of HM2's cast as a downgrade to the previous mask system, but I have always believed it was the right call. It gave way to memorable characters that, while their stories alone may not mean much, when paired together it managed to paint such a dry, hopeless picture that just keeps going down and down until there is quite literally nothing left, not even what-ifs about what could have gone right to make you feel better.

I played HM2 at release date, and to this day I can't ever forget this... Feeling of doom it gives you. It's like a nightmare where everything is going wrong and, even if you struggle, the end doesn't change, but what always gets me is that everyone involved wants this. Deep down, they all knew where they were headed, and yet they repeat their actions, forever, in a limbo of their own design... I just think there is something beautiful about it...
