Morris House. Frank Lloyd Wright's unbuilt masterpiece.

Frank Lloyd Wright. As well as completing some of the most iconic residential designs of the 20th century, the American architect conceived several more that never came to pass, and Morris House — otherwise known as “Seacliff” — must go down as one of the most spectacular.
Back in 1945, Wright was approached by the Morris family to design a new home on a rocky outcrop at the mouth of San Francisco Bay. Having experienced great success designing a residence for the Kaufman family — the seminal Fallingwater — 10 years previously, Wright desired to continue his explorations into the relationship between manmade structures and the natural landscape. The resulting proposal was nothing short of astonishing, an exuberant demonstration of Modernism perched on the edge of the cliff.

I love that you're creating these virtual tours that offer a glimpse into Wright's buildings that we'll never see. Amazing stuff!

Razin thank you again for your work, especially this work of Wright moved me deeply and showed once again that Wright could do things that even today no one else can do.

Brilliant rendition, Razin. Thank you. It's astounding to see the breadth of Wright's vision brought to life in 3D. If an architect of the 21st century had conceived this plan it would still seem current & modern.

Beautiful, visionary, completely Lloyd Wright in every way.

Side note: using the Golden Gate as reference, this site puts it pretty much right on top of the San Andreas fault…. so…… uh, I hope it can float too.😊

If that house had been built when Frank Lloyd Wright designed it, it would truly be breath taking and unforgettable.

Beautiful. Can't imagine the work involved in creating this digital animation. A much better "what if" scenario is this clip.

Dreams are made of exactly this.

.. had reality happened. Most likely some ingrate would have already torn down, yet another aging Frank Lloyd Wright masterpiece.

An incredible CAD rendering of a remarkable architectural vision.
This elevates the spirit as moving musical notation toward an orchestral performance. PJH 01AP21

Strangely, I designed a very similar home for my Architectural Design class in college... maybe I should have stuck with it!

Now I can see where the artists got their ideas for Tony Stark's mansions.

Wish you had told us why the Morris family didn't build it. Leaves us in mystery, as does the design. I love this, and it's bold and beautiful. But vaguely reminds me of a pillbox from the War on the Atlantic Coast.

There seems to be only air between the lower and mid-level bedrooms offering scant privacy. Does that represent what is in Wright's drawings?

Wonderful tour. One observation on the main living space..ceiling lighting as apposed to skylights..or glass block? Mr. Wright often brought the natural light into the structure. Was the placement proposed to project out as far from the cliff as apposed to gracing the "brow" of the landscape. I enjoyed the many other details...wonderful tour
