The FLW School of Architecture is in a battle of sorts with the FLW Foundation to keep the design school of 88 years operating past the 2021 school year. To this day only 25 students are in the program where they still split their year between Taliesen North in Spring Green WI and Scottsdale AZ at the “West” location. The school proposes to have their own funding secured and take on as many as 60 students many from China. To this day the students live on both campuses and are provided food service meals. In the desert location most still live in shelters in the desert designed and built by past students. I hope the school can come to an agreement with the foundation. At this point communication has been through the media and not direct negotiations which seems to be upsetting at least one of the sides in this saga. What an honor it would be to be part of this historic school!
