There was a giant Beech tree at the edge of the woods near my grandparents farm. As kids we used to climb on the low branches of that tree and gently swing up and down. I know now that it isn't healthy for a tree to carve in the trunk but at the time we marveled at the etchings from my mother and her siblings. For some reason, I think back to that tree whenever I need to feel grounded in life. I imagine it is still standing even though I haven't been back there for over 40 years. The video brought back so many fond memories.

Had 2 beeches up against each other in my backyard as a kid. They looked like one giant tree. My brother and I played under it all the time. Loved those trees. They're still alive.

These are great videos. It has rekindled a peculiar interest in trees for me. They are so incredibly beautiful. The sense of nostalgia I am getting while watching this is immense. A lust for peace trails shortly after. I am entranced.

I have this one tree in front of my house that looks kind of like a beech tree and it’s my favorite tree it’s because of the beautiful branches that has if I could I would show a picture of it.

pretty tree, too bad people like to deface its smooth bark by carving in it
