There is no shortage of ads though! That's for sure!

And now the invalid traffic bug🙄. They don’t have the money and don’t want to admit it.

Yup I’ve lost about 90%. I’m getting similar views that I always do, but the revenue (which has been consistent the past few years) has suddenly dropped in the past two months.

This has become unsustainable for me, as the previous consistency became a solid form of income that I became used to.

Kinda glad I’ve seen this video now though, and know it’s not just me!

Yes, I've been impacted by this. Zero help from YouTube.

Yup! And there's no way to see where all the money goes. To figure... They could easily take a huge percentage from all smaller creators by changing a couple lines of code and no one would ever know 😢

This would make an amazing long version video! I’m curious of time of year etc...

It was going down hard for about 9 months. last couple months have been much better but I can hardly explain why either way. I’ve been posting the last 11 years on two channels, six-figure earnings and for the first time in five years, we slipped under six figures in 2022 with no change to my upload schedule or content style. YouTube’s wild.

mine is Up this April but January was the worst

but I feel the YouTube algorithm is changing favouring only Trending Video or News which is very sad.

We cannot risk making videos which are different or New.

It hit the floor, views down too. I figured I just need to badly overhaul my channel 😢

1 million views on a 1 minute short video is about 28€

It's down for sure, but it usually drops around this time... has the last 8 years. Spring and summer are the worst time for my channel

Time to switch to other platforms.
Youtube is getting as corrupt as it gets.
Upload everything you have to other platforms as well and start helping the competitors create competition for YouTube.
This is the only way your gonna get any response out of YouTube

I made record high revenue last month and am on pace to break it again this month.

All advertisers are cutting spending hard. Not just YouTube, but all media ad revenue is being cut. If you don't know why, give it a few months and you will realize why 😅

On the floor, it started on August 23rd with an 80% drop. The issue seems to be stemming from the RPM of the skippable video ads (auction). All other ad types remain the same, but the skippable ones on videos longer than 8 minutes are plummeting. Every time I reach out to YouTube support via chat, I get a different response.

Ad revenue on 3 of my channels dropped by 90% from one day to another. It‘s the „invalid traffic issue“. You get a message in analytics that there has been „invalid traffic“ on one or more videos and that‘s why ads are limited. They don‘t tell you how much invalid traffic or on what video. Most channels stay in the state for months losing 90% of ad revenue. YT support is not helpful at all. Personally I‘ve been going back and forth with my partner manager and the „technical team“ for over 2 weeks without any help at all. Very frustrating. I‘m pretty sure that their „invalid traffic“ detection system is not working correctly but it seems like yt is not working on a fix or even acknowledging that something is wrong.

youtube ad revenue is always the crappiest source of revenue with a youtube channel anyway. in order to make a channel work monetarily, you've pretty much got to be doing some kind of integration yourself like affiliate links (amazon is pretty great for this), or selling your own products and services (building an online course is a great way to "passively" generate income, especially if you can produce a few of them with information that lasts a good long time), or getting direct external sponsorships from brands if your channel is large enough to be of value to them. youtube's ad revenue is a joke.

Yeah more than 50 percent. The views are down but I have more videos having limited ads on high performing videos. Videos with 100k views and all I made was $25
