In 80s the stock market crashed just in 87 when economy had already went through hell and back, and after it had increased right during that hell ignoring the troubled economy. The reason for the crash is believed to had been the increasing inflation coupled with weak growth(condition already meet in the past with no effect). Conclusion: no one can tell when the sucker will crash, the economy can go in full recession and stock still double.
