TRANSCRIPT

In the Blueprints folder, create a new blueprint of type Character and call it Player. This character type will give us movement and jumping capabilities. Opening it up, you'll see that we already have a number of components attached to build up our player. Now we can click compile, save and then return to the level editor. Here, we want to create a new blueprint of type GameMode Base and call it MyGameMode. This will tell the game who the player is. In the Player blueprint, go over to the event graph tab. Here, we want to create the InputAxis Move_ForwardBack node. This gets triggered when we press the W or S buttons. Plug this into an Add Movement Input node.
