I love being a 90's kid seeing the evolution of it all, HD for the first time, DVD's, Blu ray, and of course the PS2. I remember VIVIDLY when they released this SP and it had the built in light kids were chomping at the bit for one

Back in 2003, I was walking to school and I saw a burned down house. There was caution tape everywhere. I crawled under the tape and went inside.

Everything was charred and covered in ash. I saw a distinctive shape on the floor. I walked over and picked it up. It was a black Game Boy Advance.

I flipped it right side up and only the back was covered in ashes. The battery cover was missing. I threw it in my backpack and walked to school. When I got home, I put batteries in it and it worked!!

I played so many games on it. I couldn't believe I got it for free.The house got demoed so it would have eneded up in a landfill.It's been so many years, I don't remember what happened to it.

Reminds me before the Gameboy Advance SP, being in the back of the car with my Gameboy colour trying to play Pokemon and only being able to see the screen everytime a street light went over the screen.

Some of my fondest memories included getting the light that clipped on and finally getting the SP, having my mom take me to blockbuster and renting the newest mega man. Can we go back?
