It kills me when people say he wouldn't be athletic enough for today's NBA. Look at Nikola Jokic. Even slower and more unathletic than Bird, yet already knocking on the door of the top 10 players in the league.

Bird, fundamentally speaking, was the best player ever. Maybe not quite the best overall due to his physical limitations, but he's right there in the discussion. He would THRIVE in today's NBA.
