The lack of freedoms within Palestinian territory and Gaza is astounding and astonishing. Where did our billions in aid go? Where are the democratic institutions, infrastructure and laws for a free and open society where human rights are the norm. Where there is freedom of expression, speech, assembly, association and religious tolerance? And a free press and open and fair elections? They have proven themselves unfit for statehood.
