THANK YOU..You made a old guy smile, laugh and shed a tear . I did rabbits, chickens and raised bed gardens with my family when they were young .. The work was hard but the togetherness is worth it all . I taught them all of this plus to love the great outdoors. Hunting, fishing, shooting, and camping . Nights around a campfire under a million stars . Little one chasing lightnin bugs and a distant whipperwill singing . They are grown now and live in cities but as they start families of their own I hope they find their way back to the solitude and self reliance of rural America.

This actually brought tears to my eyes. Such a big inspiration to a beginner homesteader like myself. It’s easy to feel overwhelmed with every project that needs to get done, but the best part is seeing everything you’ve actually accomplished. Love this!

I am very grateful to see your story. This video fills my soul and makes me feel so warm. I am from Brazil and have lived in Charlotte-NC since 2016 ... I say that nothing compares to living in the countryside. My parents raised me and my brothers surrounded by endless types of fruit trees, chickens on a small farm as owners. I miss them so much, I miss the smell of rain when I touch the ground, I miss hearing the rooster's noise in the early morning and I mainly miss my mother calling me and asking me to bring a knife, tool or even a basket to harvest some fresh vegetables in the yard. Today I discovered that when I was young I felt a little irritated by interrupting anything I was doing when she asked me to. I miss my mom and dad so much. This is the true purpose of life! Our heavenly father Jehovah created us to have a good life with our loved ones, to care for the earth and raise our children.I wish you abundant love, contentment and protection from God for your family. May God bless you with any desire in your heart.Dani

What an immense and glorious legacy you are building for your children. What an amazing childhood you are giving them. Kudos on all you efforts and, should you ever feel overwhelmed, remember… Your children are watching you and learning via your example. God bless you and yours, always.

Extremely inspirational, I moved to our 28 acres about 4 months ago. Fully wooded lot, just finished cutting out my clearing today. Now I gotta clean all the trees up.

I don't even know your family but I'm proud of you all. The American dream being lived. Hardships come and go. Family is forever. You've done it. Well done. I envy you all.

I'm so happy for you all. I also just sold everything from Pearland, Tx and bought 10 acres in Missouri for the tall full grown trees 🌳 and pine trees. I was nervous but I took that step. HERE WE GO 😀 TO OUR NEW ADVENTURE

This is by far the most uplifting and inspirational video I’ve ever come across for aspiring homesteaders. And trust me, I’ve seen MANY. I love everything about this video, and how you talked about this life. Thank you for sharing your struggles and accomplishments 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

I have learned a lot from all the channels I watch. The hardest lesson came to me as more a surprise than a real thought. I need to explain in short simplest ways I can deliver so lets see if I can. I think like a man. I am seventy three, married twice... seven years each. I did my hitch in the service and also didn't excel in that but for different reasons n best explained on its own. I also tried a relationship and after fourteen years knew that wasn't smart either for me. I liked the idea of a team and kids bouncing off the walls. I just never found a team that wanted me. I started in life with a tremulous start first losing mom then finding a dad that didn't want me and you know what I figured out after that many years.... you are really a pattern of how your brought up. How do you know when to say your sorry or when to give a hug when you have never ever witnessed one in your life. Army isn't about hugs an viet nam never gave me one so I really had no business trying something I never knew anything about. As a mechanic in the wilderness of alaska out back, working by myself, I made a few fortunes and a few mistakes that well reduced the fortunes to zero again. I could fix anything but a broken heart. I could weld anything but a crack in our relations and when I married they did try to change me. I resisted and so I can only watch how others did it. I do wish we had the internet then as I grew with it. Now loaded with friends I feel the loneliness of not having a reunion. I sure do like what you kids did and will go on to do. Wealth is a happy warm heart.

I've seen t.v. specials and docs that aren't as good as this! So inspiring! The way you showed your children about death was so refreshing. Moving to east Texas in July to make this a reality! 😊😊

I watched this first on my own. Then called my partner and watched it again with him. Extremely inspiring! Our goal is to retire in the next 5 years and do homesteading, too. We're just paying up some remaining debts and then we're good to go. We have a 4-month old baby boy now, and we aim for him to live in a beautiful farm rather than in a noisy, polluted city.

We used to live in an urban suburb. Now we live in a rural suburb. You inspire my family to go beyond and be self sustainable. Family above all! Keep doing what you are doing and inspiring. Me and others like us! I know there are hard times but use the good moments to push through! Nyx love from a family who aspires to be where you are!

What a beautiful video. I love the symbiotic relationship with ALL members of the homestead. The pigs cleared the land, saving harsh equipment from destroying trees and important life. Such a calming environment. Everyone is thriving (well maybe not the past pigs, chickens, or rabbits). Great video.

The third chapter I am watching of Better Together Life, by far the best youtube channel I have watched. It's so refreshing and real. The voice of the narrator is so cozy that makes you want to listen to her all night. These people are the core of what America is about. Where are they? Texas. It makes me so jealous, I feel like I want to move tomorrow with my entire family. Thank you, guys.

My dad did the same when he brought us to mid Missouri from New Jersey in 1977. Your children will never forget how you saved them.
