As we continue through our series "On Your Mark, Get Set, Go!" George Koshy shares in this third installment the three reasons writers may face writer's block: (1) self-doubt, (2) perfectionism, and (3) a lack of motivation. Koshy explains that writer's block need not stop us, however, and that there are a number of things we can do to move forward.

Once you watch the video, we invite you to reflect on the following questions this week:

* When you write, who/what is the biggest voice in your head? Is it God's? A friend's? Your own? How can you ensure the voices in your head are positive and move you forward?

* What have you done in the past to deal with writer's block? What is helpful/not helpful?

* What are some of the activities you can temporarily engage in to get you through moments of writer's block?

* Besides your current project, what other types of writing do you enjoy? Poetry? Script writing? Letter writing?

* What kinds of regular habits keep you on track with your writing?

Join us next week for part 4 of the series. One Big Idea is a media ministry of Media Associates International.
