Espresso Basket Explosions on the Meticulous Home

My friend Hiver, at Chromatic Coffee, gave me a filter basket that already had a crack in the bottom. I thought this would be a great opportunity to see what would happen if you use it in a machine, and it got pressurized and blew up.

Please don’t try this at home. It was probably a dumb idea.

And yes, it definitely exploded but I did learn something about staccato espresso.

I guess Maticulous would not be too happy about the title.. if people do not see the actual video they could get the impression the product is dangerous.. not good for a startup.

I would have thought with all sensors on the machine it would stop applying pressure immediately in those conditions.

This video makes absolutely no sense… Why trash someone else’s property? This is obviously a loaner machine since the Meticulous machines are not in production yet, just these beta units. Am I missing something?
