Hi, thanks for sharing your valuable experiences through these great videos. I have learnt so many things from you. Here I have a question. I too use the same breville barista. My issue is the yield which come in 1:3 ratio like I put in 18g of beans and I get 55g of espresso in around 20 seconds. If I make it finer the time increases and pressure increases but the yield remains the same. What should I do?

My machine operates in the overpressure every time and I want to get it into the correct extraction zone. I use 17-18g and try to get 27sec extraction but in order to do this my grind size ranges from 2-4. I use fresh coffee within one month of purchase and am particular about tamping and distributing coffee. There is a lot of water in my tray underneath.

I have 860xl that is over 10 years old and installed new pump, there is small leak between pump and OPV, OPV only screws in about four turns before getting tight and do not want to risk damaging the fine threads by continuing to turn it if clear silicone gasket is no good, how to get new OPV gasket without buying new OPV? thanks, excellent content, I learn so much!!

Every time I see your machine apart, I get the urge to open mine and add an electronic pressure sensor and temperature sensors to monitor the espresso making process each time I brew. thanks for the inspiring videos

Hi thank you for sharing this video, I have a question about my machine, recently when I make my second brew right after my first brew, the water pressure always went to a little bit higher than the first one, which will cuz my espresso dripping..taste not good, but all my grind setting is the exzactly the same like the first one. after I shut down my machine for a while. when I brew it again the pressure is normal, but the second one will get a bit higher again. I have no idea whats going on? have you had this issue?

Thank you! Now I know why there is water running on the side and why my sealing ring is damaged (to much pressure)

Thank you for your video. I realise that I usually have backflush. Does it mean that anytime you have backflush your pressure is too high? I.e beans too finely ground?

Is the pressure in the boiler and the pressure in the portafilter actually much different? You would think that the gauge would display brewing pressure.

Can this machine grind more than 1 of coffee variants together in a bean hopper (ie; arabica+brazil+robusta etc mixed together)? Because someone told that it can occur malfunction of the machine?

I'm surprised that your gauge didn't give you an even higher pressure reading. It almost looked like you were right on the edge of being within range, even though the shot was clearly over extracted. For my machine, the gague would have moved even further given the extraction was chocking that much. It makes me question if your gauge is stuck at that point or if gaguges on these machines are not accurate in general.
