In this Duolingo English Test practice video, you can practice taking a full test. I created the test to be very similar to the real test in terms of the number of times you get a question type and the amount of time you have to complete each question. On top of that, I show you the answers after each question--this can help you see how well you are doing.

Note- This sample test does not include the interview questions and the questions are not on the real Duolingo English Test.

The Duolingo English Test is the newest English proficiency test available for English students to take in order to get an official English score. You usually need to take a test like the Duolingo English Test before you apply to a university or college in an English-speaking country.

This new Duolingo English Test is made specifically for those who need to get an official English score to study at a university or college. It’s similar to the IELTS and TOEFL; however, even though this test is quite new, it is accepted by a lot of universities around the world. You can go to their website to find out whether the university you want to attend to accepts the Duolingo English Test or not.

I think the best part about your videos is how well you maintain eye contact with the screen and the camera. As far as I was concerned, this was the most challenging aspect of the DET. I used to let myself wander off and look at other things while speaking. Watching you speak so eloquently while looking straight at the camera really helped me inculcate that skill. There are lots of benefits with reading frequently, I would recommend reading for two main reasons. Firstly reading improves your vocabulary massively, this will not only make it easier for you to express your feelings and opinions. It will also make you more attractive when applying for jobs, to be well spoken is something that any boss values highly. The second major benefit of reading is that it reduces stress, while reading you zoom into your own bubble and your imagination starts flowing. This often makes you forget about all of the worries that you may have in your life for a moment which leads to you being more relaxed and less stressed. To sum it all up, I believe that reading has many benefits including better vocabulary and stress prevention.

Although I was kind of scared about the scores but I guess it’s more than enought than what I’ve expected!
