One reason I love this song so much, is that while this game is far from scary, or even creepy. It has a great dark atmosphere. So good that it makes you forget one song is playing for around 80% of the game. The lightning in the background, Luigi's humming as it gets more and more nervous, the sounds of ghosts like Mr.Lugs and Melody. All of that makes the game feel darker, and so different from other Mario Bros games, and then when this song plays its almost like a relief, that everything has gone back to normal and is all happy again. And now that you have gone through one REALLY HORRIBLE NIGHT you can sit back and relax, and enjoy that new mansion.

Honestly one of the best ending themes to a video game. It isn't the signature theme, it is its own song that I still remember to this day. a few can match it, super mario 64 is one of them. This game was the best.

This is what plays in my head at midnight on Halloween. I had a good October, I got to hang with my friends, but now its coming to a close. I'll have to wait for next year to celebrate Spooky Season. But at least I had a blast.
