This 67 year old newb has been struggling through multiple disciplines as I effort to break into astrophotography. New t7i, Sky Guider Pro, book/ magazines, and online courses have provided for a slow, steep learning curve. These RMSP live stream on AP and short segments on, in particular Ps and Lr have really offered insight through a logical progression of training. Thanks.

I have tried  to understand layers in Photoshop forever.  Thank you for explaining it so I could understand them!  You are an AWESOME instructor!

Thank you! I asked and I received! I finally get it. This is the best explanation I have found. When will you produce the masking, and can you talk about merging layers also?

I am aware of the distinctions, but you offered the best explanation of what a layer is.

Yes thank you very much! This content and its style is exactly what I am looking for in tutorials. And I second Craig's request. I can't afford Ps or Lr but I am trying to understand the concepts and apply them to Gimp.

This was great! I just got PS/LR last week, and this helps quite a bit. Thank you. (And you're right: "White Chocolate Dipped in Dark Chocolate Belgian Cookie Button" is MUCH less cumbersome than "Layer > Adjust Layer".)

I have a question! What happens when I drag a layer onto another layer, I been moving my layers and accidently selected another layer with a previous layer and it got this weird arrow. What is that?
