Driving from California to Colorado - What to Do and See | 2021 Winter Roadtrip VLOG
Показать описание
This Christmas, we went on a 2 week road trip from California to Colorado! We drove from California, Nevada, Utah, to Colorado!
The bulk of the trip was spent in Denver, so to maximize our time in Denver (and limit the maximum driving length to 8 hours), we only made quick pit stops in Santa Barbara and Las Vegas. Here's a rough travel guide:
SANTA BARBARA, CA
*Driving Time: 5 hours
* Time spent: 1 day
* What did we do: We arrived late afternoon, so we checked out the main State Street and ate an awesome Southeast Asian meal at Sama Sama Kitchen! In the morning, we checked out some local beaches and the Santa Barbara Pier and drove to Nevada
SANDY VALLEY, NV
*Driving time: 5 hours
* Time Spent: 1 day
* What did we do: We arrived in the evening and left in the morning. Overall, we didn't do too much but enjoyed our time in the tipi!
MONTICELLO, UT
*Driving time: 8.5 hours
* Time Spent: 2 days
* What did we do: The landscape in Utah is absolutely incredible! It was my first time there and wish that we could have spent more time. Our favorite trail was Fisher Tower. We tried to go to Arches National Park, but it was difficult since the park is not dog friendly. We also caught an amazing sunset at Dead Horse Point. Highly recommend! We stayed at the Domes in Canyon Island - definitely made our trip more memorable!
DENVER,CO
*Driving time: 7 hours
* Time Spent 6 days
* What did we do: We mostly stayed indoors and explored the cities of Denver and Boulder. Both of these cities are really safe, modern, and clean! We absolutely loved the food (most got take out) and the outdoor activities!
Our favorite restaurants were: Annette, Vital Root, Wolf's Tailor, Safta!
Our favorite hikes were: Emerald Lake in Rocky Mountains and Chautauqua Park.
Tip: The weather outside of Denver is unpredictable. We experienced a whiteout near Breckenridge. Drive slowly and make sure you stop frequently for gas!
