I can add a travel tip from our experience in Rocky Mountain National Park. If you are driving cross country and live in a low elevation. When you take the highest highway your O2 sensor may need to adjust. Get out at several stops on your way up and walk around for about 30 minutes. Our SUV die on the road and would not start for about 15 minutes before finally limping to the pass. We got out and waited 45 minutes and then drove straight to the mechanic he just laughed and said it happens all the time. O2 sensor needs to adjust and takes time. It was a scary and dangerous lesson for this midwesterner. Love the videos.

I lived in Glenwood for 10 years in the ‘80’s. I loved this place, Hanging Lake, Marble, Carbondale, Basalt, Aspen, New Castle. The only thing was that my new husband and I couldn’t afford to buy a home there. I loved the 4 seasons, Aspen trees, columbines, and being close to the wildlife!!!

I am a 4th Generation Colo Native. This is a good video but I have one correction. The Georgetown Loop was not originally just for tourists. The Colorado Midland RR went from Golden, Followed Clear Creek up to Idaho Springs and Georgetown to haul gold and silver ore down to Denver for Smelting. When Silver was found in Silver Plume and Bakerville, They built an additional line to those mining camps and the Devils Gate Bridge was built to accomplish that.

In May 2024 for my birthday my daughter took me to Denver, took train ride & we stayed in Glenwood (that Amtrak was AWESOME)! The bus rides are free for me be cuz I'm a senior! We visited Aspen... The people are nature folks & quite fit as well as kind & considerate. My goodness it's breathtakingly gorgeous & absolutely abundance of walking (my stepper said I'd walked 55, 794 steps, kinda overwhelming but do-able! Loved my Colorado adventure 👍🏿❤️😊

Your suggested itineraries miss Ouray, the San Juan Mountains, Dallas Divide, Telluride, Silverton, Weminuche wilderness, Durango Narrow Gauge railroad and Mesa Verde in SW Colorado. Maybe a second trip, but Colorado's "best" should, in this old Colorado Native's opinion (who now lives in central Utah), include a mention of that area. I agree that a follow-on to Utah is terrific. The Southwest loop can branch over and hit either Arches/Canyonlands from the south or head past the Grand Gulch area to Capitol Reef NP. All the greatest country on the planet.

Thoroughly enjoyed this!

My wife and I combined the Colorado Rockies with Dinosaur National Monument, Teton and Yellowstone. Then back to Denver from Wyoming.

Love the video except for the Breckenridge comment. I went during Thanksgiving 2020 & fell in love with Breck. Have been there 2020, 2021 & 2023. Never been in summer but they also have lots of things going on plus lots of shops. This is my happy place! ❤

Absolutely beautiful. My wife and I will be flying to Salt Lake City for an epic road trip to the Big 5 next Friday for 10 days. Looking forward to some touring, hiking and just hanging out.

Thomas Dambo is actually from Denmark, not the Netherlands There are a lot of different trolls schattered around in Denmark as well. I believe we have 5 here in the Copenhagen area

Are you sure it wasn't 1976 when the dam in Estes broke. I was living there when everything got wiped out. It was 1976 not 1982. I loved you video. I live in Arizona now, so this was a trip down memory lane for me.

I love Colorado there are still so many places that are absolutely beautiful such as pikes peak scenic byway, garden of the gods, sand dunes, telluride, mesa verde, royal gorge bridge, Cheyenne mountain zoo, mayflower gulch, bear lake campground, crystal mill, black canyon of the gunnison, lumpy ridge trailhead, steamboat springs, dinosaur ridge, and Colorado national monument.
