I love watching and listening to Neil explain things. He's my favorite GMBN guy.

That Canyon is so nice! I hate the fact that they don't sell their bikes in the States.

One key tip you missed - Shift the big chain ring at the front to protect your knuckles.

An ape at a bike shop tightened mine. A BIG ape. My longest 6mm hex and I still couldn't budge them, of course I triple checked, yes correct direction. I certainly did not want to destroy my Descendant cranks. Your video, perfect. I had to use a short piece of iron pipe and just the right angle and my foot/leg on the pipe and BINGO - BOB's yer uncle! Thanks!!

Warning! Spanner or Allen key is used from different sides, so it's very easy to mess up with "clockwise" and "counter-clockwide" (just look from another side and direction inverses, for example, to tighten pedals on drive-side you need rotate clockwide when using spanner and looking from drive side and counter-clockwide when using allen key and looking from non-drive side). So I recommend do not use clockwide term but instead use "according to wheels" or "oppositely to wheels" (when moving forward). So, to tight your pedals you should rotate according to wheels, and to loose - oppositely to wheels. It's much easier and cleaner to understand and remember.

Hey Global Mountain Bike Network can you possibly make a video on how to convert to a single ring ?
Would be very helpful.

Another simple but great how to, should also add some copper slip on the threads before install, never go on dry...I would add about torque settings but can't honestly say I have ever torqued a pedal 😬 Also is GMBN now using different the HD quality in the last few vids 👌🏼

I always remember it as right is right (as in "correct") Lefty Loosie.
But the down and back technique is easy to visualise.
Cheers guys!

I wish I knew the pedals were not interchangeable. Should of watched this first!
I forced them in wrong and semi-damaged the crank threads. Thank god my bike shop were able to rethread and put them on right. Ironically I did my other BMC and must have gotten lucky. Those went in effortlessly and perfect.

I remember the first time i palmed a chainring removing pedals...and i still do it now.
Removing pedals and changing chainrings because Shimano chainring bolts are dumb.

If you look carefully you can see a GMBN presenter in his natural habitat in the background of this video
